i absolutely LOVE andrea gibson. i saw her at my school a month ago, on tour with 3 other incredible slam women… this totally brought me back to that place & time. thanks, jenny.
If you ever get a chance to see her in person, run, run, run to the venue and sit in the front row. I have loved her work for quite a while now, but seeing her live just a few weeks was an almost holy experience (I love how the comments above said this was her church service). Her new CD (Yellowbirds) is incredible - and the title track is a must for all of us who are driven to create.
Ok–so I have been struggling with what to do in the next phase of my life–I am unemployed and have been job hunting—and wanting a job that gives back to my community….and today the blog universe directed me here…via…who knows? but thanks thanks for this video–I am a fan of patti’s–and one of the artists in who helped illustrate her book–and now I am a fan of your blog! and I needed this message today…holding out for a meaningful job…in this economy is hard…but I’m going to do it…
yes! yes!
